Kilmarnock picked up a vital 3 points with a 1-0 victory against Dundee United.
Marley Watkins was the goal hero as Killie propelled themselves to 9th – just three points off top-six.
Joe Wright went incredibly close in the 11th minute as he powered a header at goal, but it was well saved by Jack Walton.
Danny Armstrong tried his luck after 20 minutes as he fired a shot from distance after a nice run, but it flew over the crossbar.
Killie were dealt a blow after half-hour when captain Brad Lyons was forced off due to a head clash, he was replaced by Liam Polworth.
Ruari Paton attempted an acrobatic effort just before half-time, but thankfully for the hosts it went past Kieran O’Hara’s post.
Bobby Wales had a pop from distance just after the our-mark – but his low drive was collected well by Walton.
Killie took the lead after 72 minutes when Watkins jumped well to beat Walton in the air and head into the net.
Glenn Middleton had a good chance in the dying minutes, but he fluffed his lines and his shot fizzed across the face of the goal.
A late VAR scare was then upon Killie as a potential handball was checked – but the feeling was relief when referee David Dickinson blew for full-time.
