KCST bring football fun to Ayrshire college

As some of our Killie stars jetted off for Russia, the Kilmarnock Community Sports Trust (KCST) made the short trip to Ayrshire College recently to give a very special coaching session.

Paul Di Giacomo’s team brought their community kit to Ayrshire College’s Kilmarnock campus to provide football fun for local kids as part of the college’s ‘Sports Ability’ week, which aims to provide free sports classes.

Over two days, KCST coaches engaged over 200 youngsters; letting them develop their touch and ball control with various passing and dribbling games.

The big match winner proved to be our Hexagol facility though: with one particularly nimble contestant beating the game in 34 seconds!

Grant Moore, the KCST’s Community Support Officer, was thrilled at how the club’s sessions at the college were received.

“When Ayrshire College got in touch with me about helping out during their Sports Ability week, it was a no-brainer to get involved and get the KCST out in force,” he told the club’s official website.

“We knew the Hexagol would have the right interaction with the pupils, and it was certainly a highlight watching everyone enjoying it and giving their best shot.

“We will definitely be back next year, and I would personally like to thank all the volunteers on the day – we couldn’t have done it without them and a special thanks to Dave Dougan for his help.”
