Dave Mackinnon returned to the scene of his most treasured footballing memory to launch a much-anticipated autobiography, Slide Tackles & Boardroom Battles, which covers his unique journey from footballer to General manager and beyond.  

Open, honest, and insightful, Slide Tackles & Boardroom Battles reveals the challenges Mackinnon has fronted during his eventful career in football and business. It’s a memoir that will raise awareness of the trials and tribulations footballers face, while also giving a unique behind-the-scenes perspective on the business side of the game.

In support of the book launch, former Killie men Jim McSherry and Robert Reilly joined fans for an exclusive panel discussion at Rugby Park’s 1869 Suite on Tuesday 14^th November. On his return to Rugby Park, Dave took time to look back at his most iconic moment in the blue and white stripes; a penalty which secured promotion in 1990.
