Bring A Gift Day 2023 (2nd December)
Kilmarnock Football Club are teaming up with a squad of local partners to support the community through the ‘2023 Bring a Gift’ appeal.
The festive period is a very challenging time for many parents who will struggle to pay bills and place a Christmas dinner on the table for their loved ones.
In partnership with the Kilmarnock FC Supporters Association (KFCSA), Salvation Army, and East Ayrshire Churches Homelessness Action (EACHa), the club is once again leading the Bring a Gift appeal to ease pressure on families by helping to put presents under trees this year.
The club is eternally grateful for the generosity shown by supporters who have selflessly contributed to the annual appeal over the past six years. During an ongoing cost-of-living crisis, your support plays a vital role in making Christmas a day to remember for the whole Killie family.
WHEN IS BRING A GIFT DAY?
The 2023 Bring a Gift Day will coincide with Kilmarnock’s premiership clash with Heart of Midlothian on Saturday 2nd December.
A collection point will be open outside of the Moffat Stand turnstiles – across from The Park Hotel – from 1-3pm.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
Gifts for youngsters of all ages, ranging from toddlers to teenagers, will be very warmly welcomed.
It is politely requested that you wrap gifts and mark whether they are most suitable for:
- A boy, girl or gender neutral
- A specific age range
WHO DOES MY DONATION SUPPORT?
Following the collection, the Salvation Army and children’s services will deliver gifts to local families in time for Christmas.
Your generosity will spread the Christmas cheer to children who would otherwise have little to look forward to on Christmas Day.
A THANK YOU FROM THE PARTNERS
Janice Grant of EACHa: “East Ayrshire Churches Homelessness Action is delighted to once again take part in Kilmarnock FC’s Bring a Gift Day on Saturday 2nd December.
“The unfailing generosity of Kilmarnock FC supporters has brought joy to many local children for several years now. You have no idea how much this means, this might be the only Christmas gift some children will receive. A heartfelt thanks to you all.”
Terry McGarry, Chairman of the KFCSA: “Once again we are delighted to be involved in helping bring joy to kids in Ayrshire who may not have enjoyed Christmas without the help of Kilmarnock fans.
“Over the years we have collected over an incredible 3,000 parcels which were distributed to local families via social services. We hope that fans will be as generous as they have been over the past six years since we launched the Christmas appeal.”
