Rory McKenzie reaches new Killie milestone

Rory McKenzie is officially sixth in the all-time appearance holders for Kilmarnock Football Club.

Last night’s substitute outing in the 1-0 Super Killie Away victory against Hibs was Rory’s 451st appearance for Ayrshire’s finest.

Having marked 450 at the weekend, when brought on to replace Erik Ring to see out last night’s important three points in the capital, the boyhood Killie man overtook John McGrory in the standings.

Rory made his Kilmarnock debut all the way back in 2011 against Inverness Caledonian Thistle under Kenny Shiels, and is still going strong, having made five appearances so far this campaign.

The 32-year-old is now just 10 appearances off climbing the list even further, with James Fowler – player/manager of our Tennent’s Sixes team – sat on 460.
