Youngsters return from international duty

Two of Kilmarnock Football Club’s first-team teenagers have returned to Ayrshire following successful trips away on international duty.

Bobby Wales was selected to lead the line in the first match of Scotland Under-18s’ double header against Wales, which ended in a narrow 2-1 defeat for Billy Stark’s side. The 17-year-old also made an influential impact when he came off the bench in Wrexham three days later, scoring an 89th-minute equaliser in a 2-2 draw.

Full-back Luke Chambers played every minute of England’s UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualification fixtures against Hungary, Iceland and Turkey, helping his nation secure two clean sheets, and six points out of a possible nine.
