Community Transport Partnership goes green
The Killie Community will be powered by green energy thanks to their community transport partners, Evans Halshaw Vauxhall Kilmarnock.
The local dealership has extended their partnership with The Killie Community for a further year, recognising the charity’s “hard work to deliver programmes for people of all ages across Ayrshire, making a difference to local people’s lives.”
The branch’s Head of Business, Derek Gibson, linked up with Programmes Manager, Daryl Knapp, to hand over the keys to a Vauxhall Vivaro Electric van, which will be used to provide transport and logistic support for the charity.
“This partnership means that while the charity’s programmes are growing, we have continued backing from our local dealership to sustain the transport of much-needed healthy nutrition for hundreds of young community participants across Ayrshire. The new Electric Vivaro enables us to significantly lower our emissions and save costs, which is vital for us as a charity.”
– Daryl Knapp, Programmes Manager.
“We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with The Killie Community and fully support the great work they do. Evans Halshaw is a UK wide company but we are also a local business and employer and feel very much part of the community, and as such we are delighted to be providing our support to assist them with their great work.”
