Squad update following 2020/21 season
Following the conclusion of the 2020/21 Scottish Premiership season, the Board of Directors at Kilmarnock Football Club would like to thank our fans and sponsors for their unwavering support throughout a difficult year.
Tommy Wright has moved quickly to begin work on rebuilding the squad in preparation for our campaign in the Scottish Championship.
Departing at the end of their contracts is long serving club captain Gary Dicker, alongside fellow squad members Clevid Dikamona, Aaron Tshibola, Youssouf Mulumbu, George Oakley, Diaguely Dabo, Nicke Kabamba, Danny Whitehall, Danny Rogers and Ally Taylor.
Four loan players have departed and returned to their parent clubs; Zeno Ibsen Rossi, Colin Doyle, Zech Medley and Brandon Pierrick.
Rory McKenzie, Alan Power, Aaron McGowan and Brandon Haunstrup are all under contract for next season, whilst Innes Cameron has signed a new two-year contract.
We will be offering new deals to Kyle Lafferty, Greg Kiltie, Mitch Pinnock, Ross Millen, Calum Waters, Kyle Connell and Tomas Brindley and await the outcome of these talks.
Senior players Chris Burke and Kirk Broadfoot are considering their next steps in football.
Manager Tommy Wright said: “It’s never a nice time when you’re releasing players, and I’d like to thank those leaving for their time at the club.
“In particular, I’d like to thank Gary Dicker. He’s been a wonderful servant and captain for Kilmarnock, someone who I have a lot of time for.
“Difficult decisions have to be made as we look to build for the future.”
