O’Donnell could break Killie Scotland record

Stephen O’Donnell could break the Scotland cap record for a Kilmarnock player after being called up to the squad for October’s double-header.

Steve Clarke has selected the right back in his party for matches against Russia and San Marino.

Playing against Belgium last month saw Stephen match Joe Nibloe’s record of 11 appearances for the national team, while contracted at Rugby Park.

Scotland play Russia in Moscow on Thursday, October 10 before taking on San Marino at Hampden on Sunday, October 13.

The player most capped at full international level during their time at Rugby Park remains Josh Magennis, who won 14 caps for Northern Ireland during his time with Killie.
