Match Summary | Motherwell (H)

Kilmarnock were held to a 1-1 draw against Motherwell following a last-minute equaliser at The BBSP Stadium, Rugby Park on Saturday 25th February 2023.

More than 6,500 supporters were in attendance for the crucial bottom half battle in Ayrshire. A dominant first half performance was sparked when a Liam Polworth corner caused havoc in the ’Well box, enabling Scott Robinson to poke the ball home from close range.

The visitors began to dictate the tempo in the second period, drawing a string of saves from Sam Walker. It was going to take something special to beat the Killie ‘keeper and, cruelly for the hosts, that strike came in the dying moments.

89 minutes were on the clock when Motherwell substitute Callum Slattery stepped up and curled a 25-yard free-kick into the top corner to claim a point for the away side.
