Loan Watch: Clean Sheets and a Debut


A number of our younger players are out on loan across Scotland, here’s how they got on this week.

Aidan Glavin picked up his first clean sheet in Elgin City colours during a 0-0 draw away to Clyde – with Elgin sitting in third-place Glavin will be hoping to be part of a promotion push, as will his teammate Kian Leslie who made his third appearance off the bench for the Borough Briggs side. Elgin remain unbeaten since the pair signed on loan from Killie.

Ethan Brown made his Dumbarton debut during a 1-0 defeat to Montrose – The Sons are yet to pick up a league win this season. He could face Zander Craik this weekend as Queen of the South host Dumbarton, Craik has returned to training after an injury.

Corey Armour played 90 minutes in goal for Auchinleck Talbot and Andrew Miller was an unused substitute in their 3-1 defeat away to Largs in the West of Scotland Premier Division – they will be looking to bounce back against Albion Rovers in the Scottish Cup this weekend.

Defender Lewis Mackle helped Hurlford United to a 2-0 win in their Scottish Junior Cup tie against Thorniewood – ‘Ford take on Pollok away in the WoSL Premier this weekend.

Dylan Brown has yet to feature for Kilwinning Rangers since his debut against Blantyre last month which was a 5-1 victory against Blantyre.
