Liverpool lessons can help Liam thrive at Killie

Liam Millar believes his grounding at Liverpool can help him succeed with Killie after sealing his deadline-day loan move.

The 19-year-old attacker is Liverpool's top Academy scorer with 19 goals so far this term and he can't wait to get started with Steve Clarke's side.

Canadian international Millar has spent time training with some of the world's best attackers in the form of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane and he is excited to take his first steps into senior football at Rugby Park.

Liam said: 'I've trained at Melwood a couple of times and training with them [Liverpool's first team] is always a pleasure.

'They've probably got the best front three in the world at the moment with Mane, Salah and Firmino. You learn so much from them.

'Firmino or Salah play in the same kind of role in terms of pressing and running in behind so you can learn a lot from them and I think they are really good mentors for me.'
