Killie Ladies go for cup glory in Aberdeen

It’s a Killie v Aberdeen double this weekend with the Ladies team facing an away trip to take on the Dons in the last 16 of the SSE Scottish Women’s Cup.

Stewart Hall’s team are in action on Sunday at Balmoral Stadium, Aberdeen with a 2pm kick off.

As many supporters will know, last weekend’s game against Partick Thistle was abandoned with the score at 1-1 due to an injury to Killie goalkeeper Ailey Tebbett.

Thankfully scans have showed no lasting damage and after a period of rest in line with concussion protocols, she should be able to resume playing in the near future.

Loren Christie scored an incredible free-kick to give Thistle the lead before Suzanne McTaggart netted the equaliser.

After a stoppage in play due to the injury to Ailey, the match was abandoned and will be replayed at a later date.

Everyone at the club wishes Ailey well in her recovery and we look forward to seeing her back on the field.

Good luck to the team in this weekend’s cup tie.
