Jim Chapman: “Control the controllables”

Jim Chapman has challenged his players to “control the controllables” as they prepare for the season finale against St Johnstone on Sunday afternoon.

Four teams remain in the play-off hunt going into the final round of fixtures. A mere point separates Kilmarnock and current play-off spot holders Gartcairn, who host the University of Stirling on Sunday afternoon.

Speaking on Friday, the manager said: “When it’s outwith your hands, you can only control the controllables.

“We need to focus our whole attention on getting the result we need. If you don’t take care of your own business, then it’s irrelevant. It’s exciting and it’s good to be involved – that’s the most important thing – but our attention has got to be on ourselves.”
