Kilmarnock secured their place in the hat for the Scottish Cup quarter-finals following a 1-0 victory against Dundee United at Tannadice on Saturday 11th February 2023.
The afternoon started with a minute’s silence in memory of legendary Dundee United goalkeeper and former Kilmarnock coach Billy Thomson who sadly passed away earlier in the week.
Kyle Vassell scored the matchwinner – and his first goal for the club – 10 minutes into the second half, after a fiercely contested but even opening 45 minutes.
Killie fended off a push for an equaliser from the home side, who were reduced to 10 men with 12 minutes remaining, to earn a second cup win of the campaign over The Tangerines.
