Crosshouse Children’s Fund needs your help

Our Killie players might be your heroes on the pitch, but there’s another team in Ayrshire who are doing even more important work.

Crosshouse Children’s Fund is our official charity partner this season: raising funds for sick kids and their families across Ayrshire and Arran to ensure that they receive the best possible care during their stay in hospital.

This includes the provision of new medical equipment, play programmes for ill kids, family support services and  helping to fund paediatric research

Each year at Crosshouse, almost 8,000 babies, children and young people are treated across departments such as maternity services, neonatal and emergency services.

It’s a hell of a lot of work, and their brilliant staff can’t do it alone. Kilmarnock FC and Crosshouse Children’s Fund are calling on supporters to offer up their time in anyway they can to support the charity.

“In just a few short months, communities across Ayrshire and Arran have shown generous support, and we’re hugely grateful for every penny raised,” said Shona Cardle, the fund’s chief executive.

“As we approach another busy few months, we want to ask people to consider donating their time to us. Even if you can only spare an hour, you’ll be helping to make a difference to the lives of children, babies and families in hospital.”

One upcoming event you can get involved in is at the launch of the new Morrisons store following it’s refurbishment in Kilmarnock.

Crosshouse Children’s Fund will be there packing bags, and you can get involved ON 7th October 10am – 5pm

If you can spare any time to support that event or anything else with the Crosshouse Children’s Fund, get in touch through the details below. We’ll also be promoting more opportunities to support the work of the charity.
