Mission Christmas 2026
The Killie Community has launched Mission Christmas 2026, and the charity has changed how it works.
The Christmas tree at The Killie Community Hub is up from Monday 2nd November. Every tag hanging on it carries a young person’s first name, their age and what they are into, nominated to the charity by organisations working across Ayrshire. Each of those young people has been identified as a football supporter who does not have the means to get to matches regularly.
Supporters are asked to take a tag, buy or make that young person a gift, and write them a Christmas card welcoming them to Killie.
How to take part
- Visit The Killie Community Hub.
- Take a tag from the Christmas tree, and take a free Christmas card.
- Buy or make a gift, and write the card from you, welcoming them to the Killie family.
- Bring the gift, tag and card back to the Hub by Saturday 12 December.
The Hub is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and 12pm to 3pm on Men’s First Team home matchdays.
Every young person on the tree will receive the gift, card, two hampers for them and their family, sourced in partnership with the Killie Foodbanks, and a family ticket to a home match at BBSP Rugby Park, in partnership with Kilmarnock FC, all in time for Christmas.
“The young people we work with love the club, but for a lot of them a match at Rugby Park has always been something ‘other families do’. A gift chosen for them by a supporter who has never met them, and a card welcoming them in, would mean the world and lets them know there’s somewhere they belong. The family ticket gives them something else to count down to after Christmas.”
Any questions, please call 01563 597869, email grant@killiecommunity.co.uk, or visit The Killie Community Hub.
Supporters who wish to donate food should take it to the Killie Foodbanks, and anyone wishing to donate a toy to the local community can do so at the KFCSA Bring A Gift matchday, on Saturday 12th December.
