Captain Conker makes young fan’s day with surprise meeting

Kilmarnock FC and the Killie Community ensured a young fan had the time of her life at Rugby Park recently.

Louise McKnight got in touch with the club’s charity branch to explain that her two-year-old daughter Amber’s hero is Captain Conker.

Young fan Amber has sensory issues, and her Conker teddy is her safe place, her mum says the toy goes everywhere with her.

So, thanks to the Killie Community a surprise meeting was set up with Captain Conker and Amber, and it’s clear to see how much she loved it.

As an added bonus, Danny Armstrong and Rory McKenzie met Amber as did Kitman Kev.

The Killie Community provide weekly ASN sessions across Ayrshire, using the power of football to create safe, inclusive spaces for over 300 children and adults.
