Boots for Africa collection at Rugby Park
A ‘Boots for Africa’ collection will take place at our Rugby Park car park this Saturday (October 31) from 10.30-11.30am.
The appeal follows a social media post from 1997 Scottish Cup winner Dylan Kerr, who has worked on the continent for a number of years and witnessed the joy that football brings to so many lives across Africa.
This is football ….. These boys don’t have boots so they share so when a player is subbed or changed they take their boots off for the next player to wear and even more strange is some are too small for the boots but they don’t care I LOVE AFRICAN Football @SAFA_net pic.twitter.com/kAR4J7km1T

If you would like to donate boots to the cause please wrap them in a plastic bag and label with the content (eg football boots and the size).
Given the current restrictions around COVID-19, boxes will be available to deposit the boots in to ensure minimal handling.
Anyone wishing to donate sets of strips are asked to have these in vacuum bags while including a list of contents.
