This year, we need your help to bring Christmas cheer, kindness and compassion to local people who are most in need.
Christmas hamper example

Christmas can be the toughest time of year, with many older people living with loneliness, adults experiencing financial hardship, and children and young people living in poverty across Ayrshire.

We are looking for food, toiletries, and monetary donations, to support our Mission Christmas initiative, which will help pack 500 hampers for people and families across our local community.

This year, we need:

  • UHT milk
  • Tea/coffee
  • Soup (eg. tins, cup soups, ‘Mug Shot’)
  • Microwavable rice/sachets
  • Tinned meat, veg, and carbs (eg. pasta packets or tinned potatoes)
  • Shower gel/toothbrush/toothpaste and sanitary products

You can drop off to The Killie Community Hub, 11a Rugby Road, Kilmarnock, weekdays 10am – 4pm, and till 6pm on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Both Lads

To many children, particularly care experienced young people and care leavers, Christmas Day will simply be just another day.

The Killie Community are working with partners in the care sector, social work, the third sector and community groups to identify local young people and teens who will likely go without a single gift this Christmas.

This year, we are asking you to:

  1. Pick a tag from the Christmas Tree at The Killie Community Hub
  2. Buy, or make, a gift for the young person of your choice
  3. Wrap it, and deliver it back with original tag attached.

Suggested value of gift: £10-£25

Our Christmas Tree and tags are found at The Killie Community Hub, 11a Rugby Road, weekdays 10am – 4pm, and till 6pm on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Each school holiday, The Killie Community opens up Rugby Park to welcome local young people, from all backgrounds and circumstances, to take part in free football, outdoor learning, and enjoy a healthy, nutritional footballers’ lunch each day.

Young people make new friends, meet their idols, and feel included as part of the football club.
