Glentoran 0 Kilmarnock 4
Kilmarnock kicked off pre-season in style with a 4-0 victory over Glentoran at The Oval this afternoon.
Joe Hugill, Cole Coughlin, Tyreece John-Jules and Ieuan Owen were on the scoresheet on a rainy afternoon in Belfast.
Neil McCann named his starting XI, before wholesale changes were made at the interval to get minutes into the legs of all players in the squad.
Hugill finished into the bottom corner after being played down the right channel. Shortly after Coughlin made it two with a header over the goalkeeper, who had vacated his goal to top Hugill from scoring a second.
Euan Bowie rattled the post with an effort from range, while Max Stryjek tipped one over the bar from the hosts, who enter Europa Conference League qualification next week.
Our front players continued to excel as John-Jules found the net on his return to the team after over four months out injured with a near-post header from a Dominic Thompson corner.
Roshaun Mathurin then burst down the left wing after being picked out by Bowie with a slick pass. His cross was expertly dinked into a dangerous area for Owen, who made no mistake with a free header to round off a fantastic run out for the team.
