The Killie Community Matchday to Celebrate Inclusion at Rugby Park

Kilmarnock Football Club will celebrate the work of its official charity, The Killie Community, during a matchday at BBSP Stadium Rugby Park when the Men’s First Team host Livingston FC on Saturday 21 March.

The fixture will also recognise World Down Syndrome Day, promoting inclusion and the hundreds of young people and families who take part in community programmes across Ayrshire.

Supporters attending the match will see The Killie Community represented throughout the stadium, highlighting the work delivered across local communities in partnership with the football club. Several young people from Killie Community programmes will play a central role in the matchday experience, including a group of mascots who will lead the teams out onto the pitch.

Supporters can look forward to a special media takeover featuring young participants and potential future journalists.

Outside the stadium, supporters and families arriving early will be able to visit The Killie Community Pitch, where free football and multi-sport activities will be running before kick-off. Activities will include games, challenges, face painting and the chance to meet staff and volunteers from the charity to find out more about getting involved with programmes delivered across Ayrshire.

The Killie Community is the charitable arm of Kilmarnock FC and delivers a wide range of initiatives focused on sport, education, health and wellbeing.

Every year the charity supports thousands of people of all ages across Ayrshire through free programmes designed to improve physical health, mental wellbeing and social inclusion.

Saturday’s matchday will provide an opportunity for supporters to learn more about the work happening across the region and the difference football can make in local communities.

Supporters are encouraged to arrive early and visit the Community Pitch before kick-off.
