Round of 16
Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC 1–4 Kilmarnock FC
Dingwall, Highland Football Academy
A trip to the Highlands proved no obstacle for Killie, who delivered one of their most impressive performances of the campaign in Dingwall.
Captain Archie Traynor led by example with two superb solo goals. Noah Simpson added a composed finish from a cut-back, while Logan Foster powered home a header from a corner to cap off a dominant 4–1 victory.
Quarter-Final
St Mirren FC 1–3 Kilmarnock FC
SMISA Stadium
Killie produced a composed and dominant second-half performance to claim a well-earned victory and secure their place in the semi-finals.
The opening stages were competitive, with both sides battling for control. Killie created early openings, but it was St Mirren who took the lead late in the first half through Luke Douglas.
The response after the restart was immediate. Sustained pressure led to a penalty, which captain Archie Traynor calmly converted to level the match and shift momentum firmly in Killie’s favour.
Killie continued to press and were rewarded around the 65th minute when Cole Coughlin finished with composure to give the visitors the lead. Remaining organised defensively, Killie limited St Mirren’s chances before sealing the win in the 73rd minute, as Logan Foster added a third goal to cap off a dominant second-half display.
Killie saw out the closing stages professionally to secure a deserved 3–1 victory and with it a place in the semi-finals.
