Kilmarnock 2-3 Hearts | Under 19s
Kilmarnock Under 19s fell to a 3-2 defeat at home to Hearts on Monday, December 8th.
Killie had a good couple of chances early on – with Remo Margiotta going close after 12 minutes but it was well saved by Lyndon Tas.
Cole Coughlin had a great chance minutes later with a low shot – but that one was blocked on the line.
Aaron Davis had a wonderful effort from 20 yards in the 19th minute, his powerful shot rattled the crossbar and came down on the line, unfortunately it didn’t find its way in the net.
Margiotta had the ball in the net just before the half-hour mark but the linesman quickly flagged for offside.
He scored another disallowed a minute later – again for offside.
Then the visitors dished out a blow with a low strike from Sam Dickov to take the lead in the 31st minute.
Dickov then grabbed a brace before the break as he took advantage of a mix-up at the back to finish from distance.
Hearts made it three just after an hour on the clock as Jaedon Donkor curled home a nice effort past an outstretched Dylan Brown.
Substitute Connor Sweeney headed home in stoppage-time as Killie grabbed a goal.
Archie Traynor then smashed home a second, but it proved too little too late for Killie.
