Kilmarnock’s Under-19s secured a hard-earned 2-1 victory over St Mirren in an intense clash on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025.

Killie started brightly, pressing high and earning a free kick in the 9th minute, which was blocked by the St Mirren wall. The visiting keeper was called into action soon after, producing a fine save to deny another Killie effort in the 24th minute. St Mirren’s number 8 was then shown a yellow card for a late challenge on Archie Traynor.

Both sides created chances throughout a competitive first half. Killie goalkeeper Dylan Brown impressed with a series of excellent saves, while Samuel Duruh saw his effort deflected wide as the home side pushed for the opener.

The breakthrough arrived in the 55th minute when Duruh found the net following sustained pressure, giving Killie a deserved 1-0 lead. St Mirren responded quickly, equalising soon after to make it 1-1.

Both teams made substitutions in search of a winner, with Dylan Brown continuing his standout display between the posts, pulling off crucial saves to keep his side level. Killie’s persistence paid off in the 72nd minute when Zander Craik struck to restore the lead and ultimately secure all three points.

The match ended 2-1 in Kilmarnock’s favour, a result built on resilience, determination, and composure under pressure. The Under-19s will now look to build on this positive performance in their upcoming fixtures.
