Match preview: St Johnstone (A)

Kilmarnock head to Perth as we get set to face St Johnstone this weekend.

We are aiming to bounce back from consecutive defeats prior to the international break as we do battle against the Saints.

St Johnstone have lost their last three matches – with two wins in their last 12 games.

We won 2-0 in our last game at McDiarmid Park thanks to goals from Joe Wright and Marley Watkins.

Our recent record in Perth is disappointing with one win in five – but stretching further back it becomes more palatable when it turns into six wins in the last 11 at McDiarmid.

Previous meeting

We last faced the Saints in August when the Saints won 3-0 thanks to a Sidibeh brace and Kimpioka penalty.

Last match: St Johnstone

Saints lost at Fir Park before the international break as they went down to goals from Tawanda Maswanhise and Tom Sparrow – a Nicky Clark penalty gave them hope but the Steelmen ran out 2-1 winners.

Last match: Killie

Despite a spirited Killie performance, Celtic won 2-0 at BBSP Rugby Park in our last match.

Callum McGregor and Nicolas Kuhn scored the crucial goals.
