Killie Forever exhibition open now

The Kilmarnock Football Club Limited is delighted to announce the official opening of ‘Killie Forever’ a special exhibition as part of our Killie 150 celebrations. 

Located in the Scottish football museum at Hampden Park, the home of Scottish football, a special display showcasing memorabilia  from past and present will be on display for supporters to enjoy.

Running from today, to March 2020 – there’s plenty of time for fans to take a trip down memory lane.

Last night was the grand opening and we were delighted to be joined by fans, former players, dignitaries, club directors, Angelo Alessio and his backroom staff.

Kicking off with a speech from our host for the evening, Gavin Wallace, the crowd reflected on 150 years of Kilmarnock Football Club.

From the founding of the club in 1869, to securing the league title at Tynecastle on goal average – to ending years of hurt when we lifted  the Scottish Cup in 1997.

We heard from the men who made the difference that day: Ray Montgomerie and Paul Wright.

We also heard from Alan Robertson and Paul Clarke as they summed up what Killie means to them.

After a special Q & A, the ribbon was cut by Jim Todd, provost of East Ayrshire, club legend Davie Sneddon, Angelo Alessio and Billy Bowie.

Guests got to enjoy a special tour of the exhibit, and retired for a fun-filled night of chat and celebration.

The night was closed out with a fantastic speech from director Cathy Jamieson, before fans were invited to take a picture with all three major trophies: and these were the real deal, not replicas.

It was a fantastic night, and we look forward to seeing Killie supporters get along to the national stadium to take in 150 years of history.

The exhibition is open now, and Killie Season Ticket Holders will gain half-price entry. Open seven days a week.
