Just a minute later Craik doubled the hosts’ lead as he tapped home from five yards out.
Kennedy almost had a double in the 38th minute when his free-kick from 25 yards troubled Shay Kelly, but the St Mirren No 1 tipped it out for a corner.
Cole Burke’s mazy run just before half-time almost ended in a stunning solo goal, but his effort from just outside the box fizzed narrowly over the crossbar.
Burke had a great chance just after the hour mark when he fired a powerful shot at goal, but Kelly saved well.
Burke then grabbed his goal in the 65th minute as his stunning strike made it 3-0 to the hosts.
