We are working with local people across 12-week programmes, combining weight management education with fun, physical activity and peer support at Rugby Park.
Participants achieve their goals alongside like-minded, local people.
Killie’s Walk & Talk is a free community health walk every Wednesday from 1pm–3pm. The walk is open to all, is facilitated by trained walk leaders, and even includes a lap of the pitch at Rugby Park.
Simply turn up on the day where one of our team will welcome you, or email team@killiecommunity.co.uk in advance to let us know you are coming along.
The Changing Room, in partnership with SAMH, uses the power of football to bring together men struggling with their mental health. The Killie Community provide a safe place at Rugby Park for men to talk openly, share lived experiences and better self-manage their own mental health in order to support themselves and each other.
Email our SAMH trained facilitator, Daryl Knapp, to find out more.
Our commitment to supporting the local recovery community includes signposting and peer support at our Walk & Talk, our Get Together, and free participation as part of our weekly Walking Football, all led by community staff and volunteers with lived experience.
Our groups are welcoming and provide a consistent, weekly outlet to exercise with like-minded people. Working in partnership with the local recovery network, we also help raise awareness of local services and signpost to wellbeing support for local people in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction.
