Derek McInnes believes that his squad have the “confidence and belief” to capitalise on home advantage as Kilmarnock return to Rugby Park for back-to-back fixtures, following a loss at Fir Park on Saturday 6 May 2023.
More than 1800 Killie supporters travelled to North Lanarkshire for the opening post-split fixture, which saw the hosts claim all three points courtesy of strikes in either half from Blair Spittal and Kevin Van Veen.
Speaking at full-time, Derek McInnes said: “If we can replicate our home form, we have the confidence and belief to get ourselves away from this situation. It’s not where we wanted to be and it’s a tougher situation than I thought we would be in, but we’re good enough to go and deal with it. The three home games that we have are going to be crucial.”
