Join the revolution | Women’s Under-18 squad
The Kilmarnock Women’s academy is scouting for players to strengthen the current Under-18s squad, following promotion of several players who have graduated to the first-team this month.
Youngsters Mary Jackson, Louise Cowan and Kelsy Crainie were all selected to make the permanent step up to senior football, having impressed for the under-18s throughout the early stage of the season. Ahead of an all-important second half of the campaign, the academy is now recruiting players that have the ambition of progressing through the club’s new development pathway.
Jim Chapman, Kilmarnock Women’s Manager, stated: “Mary, Louise and Kelsy’s progression from the academy marks another key milestone in the evolution of our club. The purpose of any academy is to produce players that can serve the first-team squad, and each of them have already slotted comfortably into the senior environment. As the new academy continues to develop, we aim to witness many more youngsters follow in their footsteps in coming years.”
