Comments from the camp

Derek McInnes has revealed that “working for good people” is the secret to longevity as he approaches his 700th competitive match as a manager.

Speaking to press ahead of this weekend’s milestone, the 52-year-old said: “I think working with good people is an important thing. We all work for clubs, but you actually work for the people within the club. I think, in the majority of cases, any time a manager is successful is because the people above them have a connection and there’s synergy. You want to work for good people, and that is the case.”
