We can achieve great things: Marley Watkins

Marley Watkins sees no reason why Kilmarnock can’t achieve “great things” this season.

The attacker had an impressive December and he’s hoping to kick-on after the winter break.

He said: “Having confidence in the squad is really important, winning is a habit that we want to have consistently.

“That comes from stuff you do off the pitch, the way you train and everything that goes into that.

“We are all demanding of each other which is good, it’s a real winning environment so long may that continue.”

He added: “We’ve got Corrie on loan who I think will go all the way to the top, we’ve got players like Matty [Kennedy] and Danny [Armstrong] who create plenty every game and [Kyle] Vassell up front, we’ve got top quality players.

“We’ve got a long way to go, but there’s no reason why we can’t achieve great things.

“This is a great group of boys, everyone gets on in the changing room really well.

“There’s so much togetherness, we do a lot off the park as a team too so it’s great to be a part of.

“We want to make sure it’s the best possible season we have, so we need to get going after the break.

“We want to keep being winners and see where we can take it.”
