Stranraer 3 Kilmarnock B 3

Kilmarnock B ended the 2026/27 KDM Trophy campaign in entertaining fashion, with a 3-3 draw against Stranraer.

Ieuan Owen, Adam Law and Kali Fraser-Traljic were the goalscorers on the night for Killie, who moved onto five points in the competition standings.

The team featured several first team players, including; Corey Armour, Euan Bowie, Johnly Yfeko, Jonathan Meier, Roshaun Mathurin and Owen, as they looked to step up their match sharpness at Stair Park.

Owen fired the visitors into an early lead with just four minutes on the clock. The young Welsh striker fired the ball into the top corner, with no goalkeeper getting close to saving the frontman’s powerful effort.

Stranraer equalised on 24 minutes though, as Armour was sent the wrong way from the penalty spot after Mason was up-ended.

However, Killie didn’t let that become a major setback, as Law produced a wonderful finish from the edge of the box following a clever corner to restore the lead, before Fraser-Traljic added a third before the interval to help highlight Killie’s superiority.

Stranraer were awarded another penalty early into the second-half. Armour went the right way this time to save the spot kick from Mason again, maintaining the 3-1 scoreline.

However, the hosts would continue to apply pressure during the second period, and found the net within quick succession in the final 10 minutes of the match to ensure a share of the spoils.

Kris Doolan’s team bowed out of the tournament, with plenty of positives for the young Killie side to take over the course of the last few months.
