Our sensational win over St Mirren won’t be forgotten in a while – considering it’s the first time we’ve scored five goals in one half this century.

The last time we scored five in the second half of a game was away to Dunfermline in April 1999 during a 6-0 win in the Scottish Premier League (SPL).

Incredibly though, the last time we scored five in the second half of a game at home was in October 1962 – that coming in a 7-1 victory over Motherwell in Scottish League Division 1 after leading 2-1 at half-time.

In January 2020 we beat Queen’s Park 6-0 at Rugby Park in the Scottish Cup fourth round.

Last time we scored as many as five goals in a league game?

In March 2019 we beat Hamilton 5-0 at Rugby Park in the SPFL Premiership.

Last time we scored five goals in the second half of a game?

In April 1999 we beat Dunfermline away 6-0 in the SPL (1-0 at HT).

Last time we scored five goals in the second half of a game at home?

In October 1962 we beat Motherwell 7-1 at Rugby Park in the Scottish League Division 1 (2-1 at HT).

Last time we scored five goals in the second half of a game v St Mirren?

In August 1961 we beat St Mirren 6-1 at Rugby Park in a Scottish League Cup Sectional Tie (1-1 at HT)

Note: We scored five in the first half against St Mirren away in a 7-4 win in January 1966.

Have we ever won by three goals after being two-down at half-time?

Only once have we been two goals behind and end up winning by three goals, it was in March 1932 in a Scottish League Division 1 match v Leith Athletic. We were losing 3-1 at half-time and eventually won 6-3.

When was the last time we scored five goals in a league game at home to St Mirren?

In October 1927 in a Scottish League Division 1 match which we won 6-2.

When was the last time we beat St Mirren by a three-goal margin at Rugby Park?

In January 1967 we won a Scottish League Division 1 match against them 3-0.
