April 6 2023 Star bakers earn Brownings discount for Killie fans
Kilmarnock Football Club sent Innes Cameron, Fraser Murray and Kerr McInroy over to the Brownings bakery on Munro Place to tackle some pie tasting and empire biscuit decorating during the international break.
In addition to receiving an exclusive tour of the factory led by Brownings’ Managing Director John Gall, the players were set the challenge of decorating an empire biscuit with a handmade portrait of one of their Killie teammates, with a Gall handshake on offer to the ‘star decorator’.
After putting in a shift at the bakery, the players earned a 10% discount on online orders for Killie fans. Thankfully, all of the products have been freshly baked by professionals (not footballers!), and are delivered to doors across the UK every week.
