St Mirren 0-0 Kilmarnock


Kilmarnock picked up a hard-earned point on the road with a 0-0 draw away to St Mirren.

Tyreece John-Jules went close after 7 minutes with a nice header from a free-kick – but it was well saved by Shamal George.

Lewis Mayo was almost on the scoresheet after 20 minutes as he smashed a powerful effort from 20 yards on target, but George was equal to it and his strong hand tipped it out for a corner.

Greg Kiltie was next to go close – he cut inside and fired a shot away, but it was well blocked out for another corner.

Roland Idowu had a good chance for the Saints in the 33rd minute, his shot from distance looked but thankfully Tobi Oluwayemi watched it fly past his post.

Dan Nlundulu looked sure to score on the hour mark, but his close-range shot was brilliantly saved by Oluwayemi.

Bruce Anderson jumped highest after a cross in the 79th minute, but his downward header went wide in front of the Killie supporters.
