SPFL Disciplinary Hearing Verdict

Following today’s SPFL hearing, the club has been found guilty of breaching SPFL Rules and Regulations by fielding Daniel Armstrong in our Premier Sports Cup match v East Kilbride while he was subject to a one-match Scottish FA suspension.

The club has been sanctioned with a suspended £5,000 fine while the result of the match has been overturned with three points awarded to East Kilbride.

Daniel will serve his suspension this weekend as we face Clyde in our second Group G match.

As a club we reiterate our apology to our fans, who have supported us magnificently, as well as East Kilbride and the footballing authorities for this inadvertent breach.

While processes are already in place to try and prevent something of this nature occurring, clearly mistakes can and have occurred in this case.

After quickly investigating the circumstances, we have immediately added an additional step to our internal procedures to ensure this cannot happen again.
