Rory McKenzie’s Killie journey continues

Kilmarnock Football Club is delighted to confirm that Rory McKenzie has signed a new one-year contract.

The club legend has agreed to extend his stay with his boyhood team and will remain a key part of Neil McCann’s side for the 2026/27 season.

Our number seven is seventh in the all-time list of players who have pulled on the blue and white stripes. The versatile midfielder has made 446 senior appearances for Killie since making his debut back in 2011.

McKenzie was rewarded for his incredible loyalty to Ayrshire’s finest with a testimonial year in 2025. This involved a match against Ayr United, which ended 1-0 to Killie, and a special dinner to commemorate the achievement at The Park Hotel.

McKenzie is, and always has been, an important figure within the first team environment. We are thrilled that he will be with us for at least another 12 months as his Killie story continues.

Rory said: “I’m happy to be staying at my club. I don’t see myself anywhere else, and I’m pleased to have the opportunity to continue what’s been an amazing journey so far in my career.

“It’s an exciting time to be part of Killie, and I very much feel I can still play a part in what’s ahead next season. I’m grateful the manager and coaching staff feel the same way and look forward to working closely with them when we regroup for pre-season.”
