Motherwell 4-0 Kilmarnock

It was a disappointing afternoon as Motherwell defeated Kilmarnock 4-0.

Killie thought they were in front when Liam Polworth latched on to a lovely lobbed through ball from Tyreece John-Jules in the 13th minute before rounding the goalkeeper and tapping home – but VAR had other ideas and ruled it out for a narrow offside.

The hosts took the lead just before the half-hour mark when Elijah Just finished off a well-worked move from the Steelmen.

John-Jules almost levelled the scores after 36 minutes, his header looked goalbound but unfortunately crashed off the crossbar.

It was a disappointing end to the half for Killie as Tom Lowery was sent off for a second yellow just before Tawanda Maswanhise made it 2-0.

Ibrahim Said made it 3-0 in the 55th minute with a finish from close range.

Lukas Fadinger made it 4-0 after 82 minutes rounding off a bad afternoon for Killie.
