McInnes: team playing through the pain barrier

Derek McInnes has praised the attitude of his team after a number of players declared themselves available for the midweek victory at Tannadice despite carrying injuries.

Speaking on Friday, the manager said: “We had lots of boys putting themselves forward when they clearly weren’t 100% fit. I love that about my team, we have so many good characters. We had a lot of boys out there who hadn’t trained a lot but were willing to play. That type of attitude is brilliant for any manager, and it played out in the performance.
