Kilmarnock’s final home match of the season ended in a disappointing 5-0 defeat to Celtic.
Killie made one change to the starting XI that defeated St Mirren on Saturday with Kieran O’Hara replacing Will Dennis in goal.
Celtic opened the scoring after five minutes when Adam Idah fired in from close range after a low cross into the box.
Then after 12 minutes it was 2-0 as Daizen Maeda hammered home, with a pretty similar goal to the first.
Idah looked certain to make it three a few minutes later as he powered a shot on target, but it was well stopped by Kieran O’Hara.
James Forrest made it three in the 35th minute as he also fired in from close range after a low cross.
After a disappointing first half, Derek McInnes opted to switch up at the break as Kyle Vassell and Corrie Ndaba made way for Liam Polworth and Joe Wright.
Matt O’Riley then smashed an effort home in the 51st minute to make it four.
Two minutes later Killie went up the park and Danny Armstrong curled an effort into the top corner, but it was ruled out for offside after a VAR check.
Matt O’Riley then made it five with a cool finish in the 71st minute.
Liam Polworth had a crack at goal in the 88th minute forcing a good save from Joe Hart, Rory McKenzie then had a chance from a rebound but he couldn’t find the back of the net.
