Match report: Ross County 2-1 Kilmarnock
Kilmarnock’s Highland hoodoo goes on after relinquishing a lead to leave Dingwall empty-handed.
Corrie Ndaba’s first half goal left things looking bright as Killie were hoping to end a seven-year wait for a win in the Highlands.
But after a Liam Donnelly red card, a Jordan White strike and Joe Wright own goal saw County take all three points.
Derek McInnes named an unchanged XI from the 1-0 victory over Rangers.
Chances were at a premium in the first half – with the first thing resembling a shot from Killie coming after 26 minutes when Brad Lyons attempted to shoot from distance, it was blocked into the hands of Ross Laidlaw.
Marley Watkins went incredibly close just before the half-hour mark as he was inches from turning in a Danny Armstrong cross, it went narrowly wide.
Noah Chilvers had an effort up the other end a minute later from out wide, Robby McCrorie did well to dive to his left and save.
Stuart Findlay went on a mazy run into the box before getting a shot away, Laidlaw did well though to save it down low.
The away end then erupted in the 38th minute when Ndaba smashed an effort into the net from 20 yards to fire his side into the lead.
Killie were well in control of the game until Liam Donnelly was sent off on the hour mark for a second yellow card.
County then dished out the ultimate punishment by scoring from the resulting free-kick as Jordan White turned in an effort from close range.
