Match Preview: St Mirren (H)
William Hill Scottish Premiership – Game Week 7
Saturday 4th October – 3:00pm | BBSP Stadium Rugby Park, Kilmarnock
Last Time Out: Killie
Kilmarnock produced a strong away performance to secure an impressive 2-0 win over Dundee United. Bruce Anderson opened the scoring with a powerful strike midway through the first half before Robbie Deas doubled the advantage with a header that crossed the line despite the goalkeeper’s efforts. Killie looked dangerous going forward, with Anderson and captain Brad Lyons testing Yevhenii Kucherenko, while defensively they stood firm, blocking key chances and holding their shape under pressure. Max Stryjek capped off the display by saving a late penalty to preserve a clean sheet and seal all three points.
Last Time Out: St Mirren
St Mirren extended their unbeaten run to seven matches with a 1-0 win over Dundee, moving up to third place in the Premiership. Killian Phillips scored the decisive goal late in the first half, turning in from close range for his fifth of the season. The Buddies created several chances through Jonah Ayunga and Roland Idowu, while their defence stood firm to see out the clean sheet, ensuring Stephen Robinson’s side claimed back-to-back league victories.
