Match preview: St Mirren (H)

Premier Sports Cup: Quarter Final

Friday  19th September: 7:45pm | BBSP Stadium Rugby Park

Last Time Out: Killie

Celtic opened the scoring in the 56th minute through Daizen Maeda, but Killie showed real resilience to battle back. David Watson brought us level in the 83rd minute with a towering header, rising above the Celtic defence to find the net. From that point on, momentum was with Killie and it looked as though we could go on to win the match. However, deep into stoppage time, Celtic were awarded a penalty which Iheanacho converted to decide the match.

Last Time Out: St Mirren
St Mirren claimed their first Premiership win of the season with a 2-1 victory away to Falkirk. After a goalless first half, Declan John opened the scoring on 64 minutes with a deflected free-kick, before Mikael Mandron added a second to secure the points. The result lifts the Buddies to fourth place in the William Hill Premiership and extends their unbeaten league run to four matches ahead of their meeting with Killie.
