Match Preview: Dundee (H)
Scottish Gas Scottish Cup – Fourth Round
Saturday 17th – January – 3:00pm | BBSP Stadium Rugby Park, Kilmarnock
Last Time Out: Killie
Killie earned a point on the road in Neil McCann’s first match in charge, battling back for a 1–1 draw away to Livingston. Chances were limited in a tight first half, with Tobi Oluwayemi called into action to deny Connor McLennan before Livingston edged ahead just before the break. Killie responded after the interval, pushing for an equaliser, and their pressure paid off in the 70th minute when substitute Marcus Dackers struck from close range to secure a share of the spoils.
Last Time Out: Dundee
Dundee suffered a narrow 1–0 defeat at home to Hearts despite producing an impressive performance at Dens Park. The Dark Blues dominated large spells of the contest and applied sustained pressure but were undone by a fine first-half strike from Claudio Braga against the run of play. Hearts were reduced to 10 men just before the interval when goalkeeper Alexander Schwolow was sent off, yet his replacement Craig Gordon proved decisive, making a sensational late save to deny Dundee a deserved equaliser.
