Last Time Out: Killie
Killie lit up Rugby Park with a sensational 4–3 victory over St Mirren FC, as Tyreece John-Jules stole the show with a magnificent hat-trick to secure three vital Premiership points. Despite falling behind early, Killie showed outstanding belief to respond, with Greg Kiltie powering home a header before John-Jules produced a stunning acrobatic volley to send killie in ahead at the break. The visitors drew level again in the second half, but Killie refused to let momentum slip, as John-Jules reacted sharply to restore the lead before completing his treble in emphatic fashion after a powerful run and finish sparked wild celebrations. A late St Mirren goal made for a tense finish, but Killie held firm to cap a thrilling night under the lights.
Last Time Out: Celtic
Celtic marked Martin O’Neill’s 200th league game in charge with a hard-fought 2–1 win over Livingston FC. The Hoops dominated possession throughout, creating a host of chances in the first half, with Callum McGregor, Daizen Maeda, Tomáš Čvančara and Benjamin Nygren all denied by an inspired Jerome Prior. Celtic’s pressure finally paid off in the 15th minute when Marcelo Saracchi struck a thunderous effort from the edge of the box to give the home side the lead. Livingston hit back in the second half, earning a penalty after a foul by Reo Hatate, which Robbie Muirhead converted to level the game. Celtic responded with attacking changes, including the introduction of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who would ultimately become the hero, curling a stunning injury-time strike into the far corner to secure all three points and cap a dramatic victory.
