Kilmarnock suffered a 3-1 defeat to Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday 4th March, despite a much improved second half performance.
The hosts raced to a three-goal lead at half-time after goals from Connor Goldson, Fashion Sakala and a James Tavernier penalty. Kilmarnock started the brighter of the teams in the second period and were rewarded when Jeriel Dorsett’s header found the back of Allan McGregor’s net with half an hour to play.
The Ayrshire side made positive strides throughout the half, but ultimately left themselves too big a hill to climb.
