Manager pleased with fitness after Red Imps test

Derek McInnes has praised the fitness levels of his Killie players after watching his side claim a 2-2 draw in a friendly with Lincoln Red Imps.

Goals from Lee Hodson and Steven Warnock ensured there was nothing between the Scottish Championship winners and the champions of Gibraltar in this contest.

It was Killie’s third pre-season game while the Red Imps are gearing up for their first round Champions League qualifying tie with KF Shkupi of Macedonia next week.

With a further friendly frixture against Charlton taking place on Friday morning, the Killie boss outlined areas which pleased him as well as identifying areas that still require some work.
