Larne friendly as Killie head to Northern Ireland

Killie will head to Northern Ireland for pre-season with Tommy Wright’s men due to face Larne FC in a friendly on Saturday, July 3.

The match will take place at Inver Park and with ongoing restrictions in place, only 500 home season ticket holders will be permitted to attend the match.

Killie will use the match as final preparation ahead of the Premier Sports Cup kicking off on July 10 while Larne are getting ready for their debut in Europe after qualifying for the Europa Conference League.

Managed by Tiernan Lynch, Larne enjoyed their highest league finish in more than 30 years as they ended the campaign in fourth place and beat Cliftonville in the Danske Banke European Play Off.

The home squad boasts two Scotsmen, John Herron (formerly of Celtic and Raith Rovers) and Rohan Ferguson (ex Motherwell and Queen of the South).
